About HHCG
HHCG has spent 25 years creating and implementing change management services for governments and firms. It was founded in June 1987 by Michael Heifetz and Stan Halle, both of whom have extensive experience in the public and private sectors. Laurel Heifetz joined the firm in the early 1990’s. After spending many years working for other consulting firms, these principals wanted to establish a new approach that treats each client’s needs as unique, openly shares tools and techniques and provides support throughout the entire change implementation process.

Stan Halle has worked in the fields of change management, strategic planning and organizational effectiveness for more than 31 years. His education includes a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Pratt Institute and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He leads VE’s change management services and has introduced HHCG’s integrated Change Management Technology (CMT) into various VE client communities. CMT has been successfully used to build more effective VE initiative leadership boards, communities of interest, industry cluster teams and action teams.
Stan specializes in building compelling visions, translating vision into action, overseeing mergers & acquisitions, designing & implementing partnerships and alliances, building alignment within teams and across sectors, reengineering processes and fostering greater individual and team effectiveness.
Stan has written a number of articles for APICS Magazine (American Production & Inventory Control Society) on paradigm shifts and various change management topics. Stan has run workshops and seminars at numerous meetings and was featured on Forbes Sky Radio's Best Consultants in America in 2003.
Michael Heifetz is experienced in change management, organizational effectiveness, total quality, labor management, process reengineering, and team building for more than 34 years. He has designed, led and managed successful change efforts both inside large organizations and as an outside advisor. Michael’s education includes a B.A. and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Florida as well as extensive post-graduate work with the Committee on Human Development at the University of Chicago. He is the author of Leading Change: Overcoming Chaos and was featured in the TV series The Changing Culture of the Workplace, which aired on PBS and cable networks. He recently completed two additional books that are ready for publication, A Psychology for Transformation and Transforming Yourself.
Laurel Heifetz has worked in qualitative research, group dynamics, organization behavior, and change management for nearly 25 years. She specializes in personal coaching, team building, organizational assessments, partnering initiatives, customer satisfaction, and planning for cultural change.
Laurel’s education includes a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Chicago. Laurel and Michael are co-authoring Making the Changes You Want in Your Life, a book that offers methods for personal transformation. She also is writing her first novel and a book of poetry.
