REI Consulting Canada was created in 2008 by founder Ross Ivett, who brings more than 40 years of senior management and product development experience to ViTAL Economy clients.
About REI Partners
Ross Ivett, who trained as an Engineer in his native Australia, has managed, designed, developed and marketed broadcast video/audio, computer, optical networking telecommunications products and application solutions for global markets. These experiences included:
- Video codecs for contribution and distribution of television application
- Broadcast TV transport applications
- MPEG 2 OEM partnerships
- ATM service access multiplexers
- End-to-end optical IP network for delivering video/voice/data services on fiber to the end user
Ross’ innovative product design skills led to the birth of several start-up technology firms based in Canada and the U.S. His extensive global sales and marketing alliances experience includes Nortel, Phillips, Terawave and Occam Networks. During Ross’s 16-year tenure at Nortel, he became one of VE’s first clients as Managing Director of Broadband Video Networks. He worked with VE to develop a Nortel-branded, technology-enabled community and economic development service known as Integrated Community Networks (ICN). Over the next 10 years, ICN was implemented in regional economies throughout the world. Ross has managed, designed, developed and marketed broadcast video/audio, computer, optical networking telecommunications products and application solutions for global markets.
